The Lund University Male Voice Choir was founded in 1831 and is the oldest Singing Association in Sweden still going strong. They look forward to perform and share their music with us during the Wedding and the following Dinner and Ball
Konstnärligt ser Studentsångarna som sin uppgift att förvalta och förnya, manskörstraditionen. Vid medverkan i World Choir Games i Kina sommaren 2010 tog kören VM-guld. Fyra av körens CD-skivor på NAXOS har sålt platina.
Lunds Studentsångförening räknar sin historia från 1831 och är Sveriges äldsta nu aktiva sångsällskap. Körens grundande brukar tillskrivas Otto Lindblad 1809-1864, kantor i skånska Norra Mellby.

Sångerskan Helene Sjöholm tilldelades Studenstångarnas Solistpris 2009 i Lund
The choir has both national and international ambitions. This is reflected in the choir’s repertoire, which is based on the responsibility to maintain and share from the vast cultural Swedish and Nordic songs treasure-box to the international audience, as well as bringing the international contemporary male choir literature to the Swedish audience. Lately, the choir has visited Vilnius – June 2009 – and China in the summer of 2010 in connection with the World Choir Games LSS won Worldwide Gold for male choires.
